HOW TO USE STRUCTURE “NÀO…ẤY/NẤY” IN VIETNAMESE

This grammar has two uses:

  1. Combined pronoun used to links two phrases or two clauses that have a necessary correlative meaning.

Nào + Phrase/ clause + ấy/ nấy

Example:

Note:

If two parts of a sentence are clauses, there are some uses as follows:

Verb 1/ Clause 1 + gì (thì) + Verb 2/ Clause 2 + nấy

Verb 1/ Clause 1 + ai (thì) + Verb 2/ Clause 2 + người nấy

Verb 1/ Clause 1 + đâu (thì) + Verb 2/ Clause 2 + đấy

Verb 1/ Clause 1 + thế nào (thì) + Verb 2/ Clause 2 + thế ấy

Verb 1/ Clause 1 + bao nhiêu (thì) + Verb 2/ Clause 2 + bấy nhiêu
