So how many of you went to cut down a real Christmas tree at a Christmas Tree farm as a kid? We haven’t ever done that with O and Baby V because we’d have to drive kind of far to get one (and also, there’s a tree lot near by, can’t beat convenience!) But we did it with my parents when we were little.
One year, we went to visit one of my sets of grandparents who lived a couple hours from our house and my parents decided to cut down a tree in a wooded area near their house. My dad tied it to the top and then we drove home. Only to discover that almost all of needles were gone from the wind on the ride home. Ha!
As far as I can recall, that was the last time we went and cut down a tree. But anyway, there’s something so lovely about cutting your own tree. Picking just the perfect one and that amazing pine smell! This cute Christmas Tree Farm Hat knitting pattern was inspired by that.
