What if Muichiro Tokito was the main character in Demon slayer?

Well..This Will be a long one, but it was something I had in mind since he's my favorite.

Of course the story would be comepletly different, Focusing on Muichiro's perspective rather than Tanjiro's.

The story would start off Muichiro waking up after falling unconscious from certain turn of events. He forgotten about what happened in his past. Consumed by a newfound rage and the will to protect humanity, We see him going through his progression to becoming a hashira within two months, while a few moments of

Him interacting with characters like, the hashiras or other slayers like rengoku(before he died), Mitsuri, or even Genya and Sanemi.

He would meet Tanjiro and Nezuko in a hashira meeting and forget about them. He would have his moments when he tries to figure out who he really was, what was his purpose other than to kill demons, and what his past was like, suffering from his amnesia and self-doubt. He would go on dangerous Missions. That's when he would meet tanjiro and nezuko again after the hashira meeting from months prior and fight his first uppermoon from Swordsmith Village.

He and tanjiro would become great friends of course. Muichiro now thought, Tanjiro looked and acted like someone he knew: His father. in midest of battle, He regained his memories, remembering his parents and their demise, along with his twin brother named, Yuichiro, and gain his demon slayer marks.

After the battle. He rested for a while before the hashira training session began. He'd train wirh the fellow slayers for a few weeks and Tanjiro for a few days while having his wholesome moments like making origami. One night, he duals with Sanemi and Obanai. The fight would last way longer Compared to the original scene.

The events of infinity castle would happen.

You have many of the fights like Obanai and mitsuri vs Nakime, or shinobu, inosuke, kanao, vs Douma, but The fight with gyomei, sanemi, genya, and Muichiro vs Kokushibo would be the main focus. Kokushibo would have been the demon king rather than muzan. This makes battles in the story seem more complex and Formidable and add more emotional and complex weight to relationships like Kokushibo and Yoriichi or Kokushibo and Kagaya. Kagaya knew about Yoriichi and was familiar with the demon slayer corps past. He knew Kokushibo was still alive as a demon..

But How was kokushibo a demon? Well..after one mission, Kokushibo fell ill. After taking medicine that was mixed with blood, he grew abnormally strong, and had a strong sense of bloodlust..he betrayed the corps and that's when Yoriichi and Kokushibo fought. Kokushibo would almost die, but barely lived on, Holding jealousy for his brother yoriichi and a bit of guilt and loathe. He'd grow stronger over the years before he met his brother face-to-face. Yoriichi was old at that time, but he was still capable of taking down Kokushibo once again. This time, the fight took place before dawn. Yoriichi, in remorse, left kokushibo to die in the sun, but kokushibo managed to get away before the sun could burn him. Kokushibo after that managed to live on after the events and Instead of fearing yoriichi, He would resent him, and would do anything to take down the demon slayer corps with the help of the uppermoons.

Kagaya, Knowing Muichiro was related to this demon, he chose him as hashira; Muichiro was the slayer, he child of prophecy. The one who would take down Kokushibo. This is where Muichiro learns was related to Kokushibo; Everything tied together to him.

Muichiro would survive the fight with Sanemi and Gyomei, with the help of Tanjiro, against Kokushibo. Muichirio turned into a demon. The remaining slayers must restlre his humanity before sunrise.

Suddenly, The infinity Castle BLEW up! Most of the remaining slayers died. Muichiro, still in his demon form healed. Tanjiro was barely alive. He sacrificed himself to save Muichiro from the sun, and from his corruption. Muichiro feeling immense guilt knowing he was killing his best friend, he tried to calm himself. The sun was slowly killing him, but there was nothing he could do; Muichiro fell unconscious.

After the battle, Muichiro somehow found himself in the butterfly mansion; he was human again thanks to lady tamayo. He survived, but his best friend Tanjiro didn't.. Muichiro grieved. him and tanjiro's fellow friends zenitsu and inosuke. Tanjiro's lover, kanao and healed sister, Nezuko, arrived at his funeral.

After, Muichiro had a had time coping with the loss of Tanjiro, but he would slowly but surely heal and move on.

Everyone went their own ways, and many years later would have living descendants and that's the end.
