Hi, I'm semi new to this amino, I had account a few years back but alot of things have changed. But anyway, thought I'd come back with a fanart I drew! So let's get started on the the tutorial I guess.
? :white_circle: SKETCH :white_circle: ?
So I started off by drawing the sketch on paper, I find it easier to get the proportions and everything when sketching it with an old fashioned pencil and paper. After the sketching is done I took a picture and edited the brightness and sharpness so I could see all the details better. After that input the picture in my drawing app to finish it with the linework and coloring. I use sketchbook if anybody's wondering lmao.

All the scales on kaido was prob the most tideous part of the drawing lol, but after drawing the same line a hundred times I eventually got it done. Some tips I'd give with linework is to not always trace directly over your sketch lines, rather just let them be a guide. Be loose and go with what looks better rather than just following the lines of the sketch. This usually creates a cleaner look, anyway next up is coloring. My personal favorite part imo.

USE YOUR LAYERS LOL. If the drawing program you use allows you to use layers, then use them lmao. It's best to put the sketch, linework, and coloring on all separate layers. This way u can edit one or another as you please without affecting the other one, I'm sure most people know this but just for the people who don't really seem to take advantage of this. But as for the colors I find I best to again, be loose and try using bizarre colors for lighting, shading, etc. Some people develop a toxic mindset that their art has to be perfect and their art usually ends up stiff and they eventually get burned out. Draw in a way that's fun to you and the progress will eventually come. Lmao well done with the tangents and now the piece is finished.
