I tend to play late at night and the NA server is almost always filled with Chinese players. I prefer squad, so I often end up with three Chinese people who don't speak English. After struggling to enjoy squad when I couldn't communicate with the other players, I eventually decided to think of some phrases I found myself using a lot, and I translated them into basic Chinese using Google translate, and then I wrote them down in a Word document phonetically (this means that instead of literal spellings, I wrote them out how they sound to me, which makes it much easier for me to read/say them as I'm playing).
I can't understand the Chinese players when they speak to me, but believe it or not, they almost always understand me (assuming the dialect I translated from is the one they speak). It helps a LOT during squad matches.
Things to note: I just chose phrases I say a lot, so if you say different things, then this won't be that useful, but you can always run with the idea and make your own. Also, I've noticed I'm starting to actually remember the phrases, so it's almost like I'm learning! Yay!

I purposefully left off curses and mom disses and the like because I'm your dad's age and that stuff stopped impressing me 20 years ago, lol (update: I've added some disses in Chinese, because they seem to love them and laugh when you say them),
